The Little Sister
“I would never forget how I fell for that smile. How my heart forgot to beat whenever he would hold me in his arms. How I run out of words to say whenever he would speak to me. How he would leave me breathless when he looked into my eyes with so much love and affection…
But this isn’t the love and affection you’d probably think of. He didn’t see me the way I saw him. He only viewed me as someone close to his heart. And he only saw me as his little sister.”
This a short story by my soon-to-be-author friend slash sister, Krysten. Take time to read this story. I’m sure a lot of you will be able to relate to it.
112112: CSR Cheerdance Competition 2012

We couldn’t miss doing this after the announcement of winners for one of my best friends, Jo!
Yesterday was yet an astounding and ground-shaking day for me and my batchmates. For the past two weeks, all high school batches were busy practicing for the much awaited and the always highlight of the year, the annual cheerdance competition. I was a member of the pep squad for the 3rd time (although I wanted to be a dancer badly. Haha.) and helped in leading my fellow members. Since the criteria for judging were changed, we all had to exert extra effort. It pressured us all since we know we have a chance to win. It was beyond belief to me that the pep squad was able to polish the routine in 4 days. Take note, 4 days. Since the first day of practice, our choreographer focused a lot with the dancers which leaves the pep squad to practice non-stop the cheers. It was just last Monday when we were taught the dance steps. It was definitely exhausting which resulted to massive body pains. Hahaha. Do you even know the feeling when you laugh, sit, stand up and stretch it seems like your body’s going to break into pieces? LOL. Hardcore body pain it is.
To the dancers, fellow pep squad and props men, I am so proud of you all. Once again, we proved that we are a batch who will never give up and won’t let anyone nor anything hinder us from reaching our endeavors as a batch. To our choreographer, Coach Marlon. We owe you bigtime. Thank you for helping us in fulfilling this huge dream of ours. We couldn’t have done this without you. Most of all, to God. Our never-ending prayers that we offer to You was worth it. Thank you for being there to guide us and for giving us the strength we need. You are indeed, the greatest.
We’re here to conquer, to prove them what we’ve really got. We’re strong, we’re loud. We’re one with God, we’ll make Him proud.

We finally bagged it.
I am so proud of my batchmates. After two years of being 2nd runner up, we became the Champions. No words can express how proud I am to be part of this batch. All the sweat, tears and body pains were all worth it. Let’s make this victory of ours a way to be more united and stronger as a batch. Of course, we shouldn’t change our attitude!
Congrats to the other batches: Freshmen, Sophies and to our ates, the Seniors.

Watch CSR’s very own Phat Gurlz Crew (dance troupe) and Himig Roseña (chorale) perform along with the different dance troupes from other well-known schools!

Lauren Weisberger bookset

My ninang lent me this book set last year but I only started reading them last December 28 since it was the only time I was free. I’m already done with The Devil Wears Prada. I loved it as much as I love the movie! I love the fact that the movie is really similar to the book unlike The Confessions of a Shopaholic movie, which is very far from the book. Everyone Worth Knowing is next to my book list of 2012. I am starting the year right.
